I hate when I set my drink down at a party and end up losing it because it looks exactly like everyone else’s. Wine charms help to solve this problem if you’re drinking wine, but what about other drinks … or at a kid’s party? Here’s a quick and simple project you can make in no time flat that will help your party guests keep track of their beverages while adding a punch of color to your event at the same time.
Materials
Colored cardstock
Scissors, regular or pinked-edge
Glue stick
X-Acto knife
Mod Podge, optional
Drinking straws, cute striped ones are available all over Etsy!

Step 1: Print out the party straws PDF onto plain white paper (or print onto white cardstock if you’d rather skip steps 3-4).
Step 2: Cut out the patterned circles using regular scissors or use pinked-edge scissors if you’d prefer a scalloped look.
Step 3: Apply a thin layer of glue stick to the back of each patterned circle, then smooth it glue side down onto some colored cardstock.
Step 4: Once the glue is dry, cut the patterned circles out once again, this time leaving a small bit of colored cardstock visible as a border.
Optional step: If desired, brush with Mod Podge to form a protective seal.
Step 5: Using an X-Acto knife, cut two slits into the center of each circle, then slip onto a straw as shown above. Pop into your drink and enjoy!
Tip: These circles would also be fun way to decorate cupcakes! Just follow steps 1-4, then glue a toothpick onto the back of each circle to create a cupcake topper.
