As Ann Martin of All Things Paper pointed out in her tweet, “Quilling is not all hearts and flowers.” Indeed. She shared this stunning piece of quilled artwork from Sarah Yakawonis, who used quilling to depict the veins of the head. The details are fascinating, and the additional close-up pictures on her web site are breathtaking. I scrolled back through her blog to see her previous work and am quite blow away by her quilled brain, quilled skull, quilled bones of the left hand and more. Amazing.
