You can plug any Flickr feed into iPhoto–just hit File:Subscribe to Photocast and paste in the URL of the feed. It works just fine, with titles, descriptions, and permalinks.
I’m not sure how useful this is. I’ll probably keep all my photo feeds in NetNewsWire, but such a feature could come in handy for non-nerds.
I’ve been ‘photocasting’ for a while now. All the way back before it was a buzzword, and it was just called – “Having a photoblog”.
One of the things that Apple doesn’t mention is that you can subscribe to non-iPhoto photoblogs (ahem photocasts) in iPhoto ’06.
I personally use Pixelpost. It’s a great photoblog setup, with web based administration.
Then I just toss my RSS feed address into iPhoto ’06 and viola!
