Here’s an interesting design for a camera bag where you don’t have to take the camera from the bag to shoot. I’m not really a photographer, so I’d like to hear what others think of this idea.

The bag nerfed the camera. You can’t use any functionality on the lens (zooming, manual focusing, etc).
An interesting idea, but I change my lenses too often for it to work for me. Plus it doesn’t look as though it offers enough protection for the camera which I would want in my bag. Padded bag with room in front for easy changing of lenses is more of what would be useful for DSLR users.
It really could work… but it would be need to modified to add on a motor and a switch to control the zoom function… and then this bag would really shine
Seems like you could “skin back” the case to access the rings on the lens, no?
This isn’t going to fool many camera thieves but maybe the bearer will be inconspicuous enough to take candids. It still looks like an expensive camera in a bag and that’s all the robber needs to know.

Perhaps the idea is to avoid cops rather than robbers. In my experience, walk around with a camera and you are far more likely to be suspected of being a terrorist than of being robbed. Y’know, because terrorists like to walk around with four different lenses.
Good concept but extremely not practical. There’s no way to zoom or focus, you won’t be able to see the top of your camera to look at controls and settings. I can’t really see how the bag attaches to the camera but it looks like it would be a pain to remove. Also it’s really only good for one length of lens, too short the bag will cause vignetting and too long the lens will stick out the end and defeat the purpose of the bag.
You’d be better off with a holster type bag.
Sounds awesome.
