Over at Fun Science Gallery, this English translation of a 2002 article by Giorgio Carboni describing, in great detail, the construction of a beautiful homemade rotating-objective panoramic film camera. It’s made of brass and plastic stock. [Thanks, Billy Baque!]

Yes, an interesting article from FunSci, but just the tip of the iceberg! There is much of interest to makers on his site – my favorite is probably the microscopy articles, in particular the VanLeeuenhok inspired glass sphere microscope that can be made for almost $0, or the compound microscope made from disposable camera lenses (he calls it the $1 microscope)!
