I really enjoy Jack Conte‘s music, creative video editing, and now, his behind-the-scenes look at the making of his latest video, Pedals. Please check out the video itself, and then enjoy his enthusiastic making-of video. Jack has maker skills!

The hexapod, Dmitiri, in the video was built and programmed by Matt Bunting and the face robot is by Kevin Felstead. Great work, guys.

Thanks for posting this! I look at this blog for updates a few times a day, it’s nice to see some of my work on it :)
Matt, well deserved, your work is fantastic. I’ve had a soft spot for one-eyed hexapods that watch your every move since I built the character rig for Doris, the evil bowler had for Disney’s Meet the Robinsons. Between you and Matt Denton, this terrifying future seems to be coming true!
So badass! Mad props to Jack, Matt, and Kevin. Respect to Jack for going DIY and sharing his process.
Cool video. Imagine when it is the robots themselves making the music.
Hopefully those same robots won’t take over the world!
