I had a great time covering the CRAFT beat this weekend at Maker Faire New York! Here are some of the cool projects and talented makers that caught my eye:
Maker Faire doodling in the Improv Sewing booth.
Gorgeous Rangoli street art from The Rubin Museum of Art.
Fun craft and sewing demos from Kollabora.
Kim Werker and I learned how to spin in the The NeedleArts Zone!
MoMath’s Multi-Morphing Megaplex.
The LEGO pancake bot. (!!!)
The inspiring and creative Sonya Philip from 100 Acts of Sewing.
Weaving demonstrations from Loop of the Loom.
I took a little break on Sunday afternoon to jump on the inflatable padding in the Madagascar Institute Dueling Mechanical Bulls area.
Finally, no Maker Faire roundup would be complete without Katy Perry, the Unicorn.
Did you go to Maker Faire New York? What projects and events did you love?

very cute
I’m looking for the saying that goes with the Longjohns made from socks. It goes something about undo the buttons, take out the stitches, you’ll get a pair of socks but you’ll lose your britches.
