Julien,
I have an idea for you for those gear cluster gears. Take 2 or 3 of them and weld them together and inside an angle bracket, to make a strong reinforced shelf bracket. I made a couple of them in my old house’s garage. The new owners know I was a bicycle tech at one time I’m sure.
Keep up the good work.

That’s a cool idea, once I have a more permanent work location and a place to weld, I’ll try that out.

I think any bicyclist will spot that tire as brand-new. Too bad the “recycling” angle wasn’t illustrated with something a little more worn.
(I suppose the back-story could be that the tire was a defect, but … that really seems unlikely as a true story.)

That specific tire does look brand new. Unfortunately sometimes the sidewall will blow out immediately, or something could put a large cut in a new tire, or sometimes a tire will just sit in a garage a long time and the sidewalls will dry rot and be unusable. Defects are a rare occurrence however and usually get sent back to the manufacturer.
If you check out the other belts in my shop you can see plenty of worn out examples.
I should clarify why some tires look new somewhere in my shop though, it is something people should know about.

The first thing in my mind was how difficult these would be to put on/take off with the rubber catching on the loops.
other than that, good idea!
