Robot Music Makers and Education Day at Maker Faire Bay Area

Good news for robot music makers, digital synth enthusiasts, or anybody headed to Maker Faire Bay Area next month who is eager to see Animusic’s “Pipe Dream” made real. Intel will be exhibiting this state-of-the-art musical contraption built from off-the-shelf components throughout the Greatest Show (and Tell) on Earth weekend! Look for this audible wonder in Fiesta Hall, the home of tesla coils, R2D2s, and now, a robotic orchestra.

Any K-12 grade educators in the Bay Area may also want to consider bringing a school group out during Education Day, which this year is happening the Thursday before Maker Faire, on May 17, from 11am-2pm. Education Day is the perfect opportunity to get a preview of the Faire, talk with select makers, and to become inspired. Interested school groups can also opt to help “tune” the Intel Industrial Control in Concert (its official name) machine, working directly with the team from Intel. Sign up here for Education Day (makes me wish I was a kid all over again!), and let us know in the signup form if you want to help tune this digital instrument.
