Space Invader’s Rubik Bad Men II

French artist Space Invader has a show up in London at Laz.inc, featuring in part “Bad Men II,” where he uses specially arranged Rubik’s cubes to create a pixelated image of pop culture villains. The use of a Rubik’s cube as a square of nine pixels is spectacular; Space Invader really found that sweet spot where a limitation in medium (only six colors and blocks of a fixed size) can add such great strength to a work.
