I know there’s a lot of you costumers out there who have touted cheap and effective alternatives to traditional costuming supplies, who don’t believe that “cheap alternative” means “crappy substitute”. i get all of my bear-baiting supplies at Home Depot. (look for my upcoming hack for preparing your mastiffs for both bear- and bull-baiting.) i also bought some great little bells; i put them on the feet of the enormous falcons that i use for hunting fawns. the bells let me track the birds and you can just pop them in your non-elizabethan dishwasher for easy fawn-blood cleanup.
