The theme for this year’s Maker Faire Bay Area, which took place last weekend, was Young Makers, and one set of inspirational young makers who came out and participated were the creative young ladies from The Camp Couture. They showed their handmade fashions on the catwalk at the Faire, as part of the Swap-O-Rama-Rama fashion show. Check out this video, where they compiled their images and put them to the music they used for their show. Go girls!

I'm a word nerd who loves to geek out on how emerging technology affects the lexicon. I was an editor on the first 40 volumes of MAKE, and I love shining light on the incredible makers in our community. In particular, covering art is my passion — after all, art is the first thing most of us ever made. When not fawning over perfect word choices, I can be found on the nearest mountain, looking for untouched powder fields and ideal alpine lakes.
