During Maker Faire Detroit, I had the chance to meet Jeannine Gruska from the Purl St. Scarf Project. Jeannine used her Maker Faire experience to create a 30-foot knitted scarf for the large Thomas Edison statue inside Greenfield Village. I’m happy to report that the scarf has been finished and Mr. Edison tried it on for size. Well, more like Jeannine and friends yarn-bombed the famous inventor. But it’s ok, he didn’t mind – it’s going to fall soon and he’ll need a sensible scarf.
From all of us here in Detroit, Happy Global Maker Faire weekend!

I can not love this enough. I know, I have tried.
The 4th Doctor would approve.
