I don’t know much about the handfasting tradition, but this gorgeous custom handfasting cord from Kathie Sever makes me want to learn more. Sever created the piece for a couple being married by the ritual. Sever explained that the ceremony, “includes five promises, and with each promise, the cord is wrapped around the hands of the betrothed.” Beautiful! Do you know more about the handfasting tradition?
