Kim Jacob shares with Quilters Buzz a cool gadget called the Fabric Organizer that will help you organize your fabric stash. Kim says, “These organizers are made from cardboard and have “tags” on them to help hold your fabric. There is also a hole at the top in case you wanted to hang them on a rod or dowel of some sort! There’s also room at the top to write how much yardage you have wrapped. Fat quarter size available too.” These cardboard holders cost about $1.65 and are available online at Cozy Cottage Fabrics. You could also try to make them with some clean cardboard from old boxes. Link.

Comic book boards work perfectly. This is exactly how I tackled my stash
ooh that looks great and so organized!
Hey There – justed wanted to make a correction – The Fabric Organizers are made of acid-free corrugated plastic. :)
The Large one – 10x 14 can hold an entire project, I have put upto 10 yards on one!
And because the fabric is already folded just like we cut it – you can just open it and cut off what you need!
