Kim Werker has created and shared a pattern for a very fun crochet bullseye pet mat as part of her kick off of “For the Animals” campaign. She hopes to “raise handmade donations of pet mats, blankets, beds and toys to donate to animal shelters, and to encourage people to share stories of how shelter animals have touched their lives.” You can grab the pattern from Ravelry or Crochet Me. It’s a simple project that you can whip up multiples of and donate them to your local animal shelter or rescue groups. Follow along with the For the Animals campaign over on Kim’s blog as other craft bloggers share their projects and stories for their special pets.
You can also find lots of great pet-related projects in our Pets archive. Many would make great projects to make and donate in the name of the For The Animals campaign!
