The Stitch N’ Pitch LA Dodgers game was just this past tuesday where 800 needle arts baseball fans filled the stadium. Pictured above is a baseball logo afghan was designed by Ginger Smith (partner and designer at Alamitos Bay Yarn Company in Long Beach, CA).
Ginger says:
The afghan was made in the 70’s and is done with Tunisian Crochet and embroidery on top. Her kids played Little League and this is how she entertained herself during the practices. The logos were created from enlarging my kids baseball cards onto graph paper. No computers then.
