Marcia Weber transformed this turn of the century caboose into her permanent residence, and lives in it year-round in northeast Pennsylvania. At just under 350 square feet, it boasts all the amenities of a standard home, including a washer and dryer, bathroom, kitchen, living area and multiple beds. But it also has loads of special things like a cupola in which she loves to sit and read books during the winter. While most of the 1909 interior has remained in tact, Weber has done some minor renovations and has decorated her home in a bright and cheery palette that lightens the small space.
I sold 95 percent of my belongings and feel very free as a result. Plus, I can clean the whole place in fifteen minutes. The area here is absolutely beautiful and I spend a lot of time sitting on the deck reading and just looking at my surroundings. It’s all mountains, ponds, and open space.
Sounds divine! See more pictures of the interior and exterior over on Tiny House Blog. [via Maura Madden]
