Okay, it was originally supposed to be a caiman costume, as we tend toward the esoteric, but alligator and crocodile are probably just as accurate. “ [via] – Link.

For god sake stop posting these ridiculous “costumes”. Even a 5 year old would be ashamed of this one.

The eleven year old pictured helped to make this costume and was extremely proud of it.

  3. Lenore says:

There was exactly one homemade costume in our neighborhood last year. It went over very well.

    Man don’t be hatin’!

Thats such a cool costume! There are not enough costumes made by the kids out there anymore…

Any moron can go to wally-mart and buy a premade spiderman or whatever costume… having your kid make his own costume gives halloween an extra edge.

This is an awesome costume! The expression on the caiman’s face is wicked evil. Besides, who makes a caiman costume? Sweet!

And seriously, domr & dang_quesadilla, there’s no need to bash someone (especially an eleven year-old) who put time and energy into making a costume. Isn’t the point of Halloween to have fun? ve2vfd hit the nail on the head…everyone BUYS their kids’ costumes nowadays. If you want to bad-mouth anyone for having a lame costume, take a whack at those parents who think that slapping down $20 for a polyester t-shirt printed with the Spiderman logo is a better choice than an original homemade costume they TOOK THE TIME TO MAKE with their child.

Sheesh. Creating = having fun. It’s not always a contest. The best part of this costume (other than the wicked teeth) is how much fun you can tell he’s having. Check out his awesome claw-fingers! Imagination counts for something too, people.
