While Nat, Goli and Katie were crafting it up last weekend in Chicago at the Renegade Craft Fair, Marie Kare of the Sampler fame, Sarah Milstein (an O’Reilly Media editor and Friend o’ Craft) and I checked out San Francisco’s Expo for the Artist and Musician. A homegrown affair, it nevertheless was a lovely gathering place for local arts and music and community organizations. There were maybe 30 exhibitors, ranging from our Craft Magazine table to local zines to the Northern California Land Trust the to Ukelele Ray, who makes ukeleles out of vintage lunchboxes. Marie gave kick-ass felting demonstrations all day, I got tons of complements on my adorable knitted cuff bracelet that I bought on Etsy after the Etsy/Craft contest, and it was a fun way to share the Craft love!
