Faux-Hawk Zebra Hat

I love this crocheted faux-hawk hat that Craftster user neosynthesis (Orange County) made for her co-worker’s son, Andrew. He was going to a school with strict rules about attire and hair, but, as she says, he’s “a little punk,” so she made him a hat-hawk. I like the way the way the yarn stripes on the hat, and of course the mohawk is rad. But what I appreciate most about this project is circumventing a school rule that doesn’t allow mohawks. Using craft!
