If you’ve ever struggled with how to cook rice, try the method described by Amy Karol on Angry Chicken–it involves boiling the rice like pasta, then steaming it the rest of the way until it’s perfectly done. Check out her blog for more info and some great cookbook recommendations.

I have a 10 cup rice cooker. it’s much easier.
add water, rice, turn on, walk away.
just get a rice cooker like I have
rice, water, turn on, walk away
perfect rice every time
I happen to think this is a wonderful idea. I love brown rice and this is so easy to make up. Of course I have no empty counter space for a rice cooker, so I don’t know how to cook rice in one. But this is great for my family and me!

Another rice cooker owner. Who needs “methods” when you can just put rice and water together, push a button and have perfect rice!
I never could get the hang of the rice cooker. It’d either scorch the rice, or blow glue out the little hole in the lid.
