Lärabars are energy bars that only use unsweetened fruits, nuts, spices, and chocolate. There are flavors like carrot cake, cherry pie, and coconut cream pie. They’re great for a quick breakfast or for sustenance on a hike, but like most packaged foods, it is cheaper to make your own. Also, you can come up with any interesting flavor combination you’d like. I haven’t seen one that uses cardamom yet…
Jen of Use Real Butter has a recipe for making a tasty-looking version of Lärabar’s cherry pie flavor. It’s just dates, cherries, and almonds. Yum!
