Kevin writes in to alert us of the upcoming Peep competition. From the Chicago Tribune:
The idea is to build a diorama with Peeps as the leading characters. (We’re not being original here; we stole the idea from The Washington Post, which did it last year after stealing the idea from the St. Paul Pioneer Press.) We’ll winnow the field to five finalists, and a distinguished panel of judges, headed by Tribune theater critic Chris Jones and art critic Alan Artner, will choose our champion. Top prize is $101 (the Post winner got $100, and we figure Q readers are worth more than that); runner-up gets $50; and the three other finalists will win a pile o’ Peeps.
