Lest anyone think that Austin Bike Zoo is taking a break after Maker Faire, here’s some footage of them at a Halloween ride:

I know while technically they do “make” something – trouble and negative publicity – it doesn’t seem like a feat worthy of being covered on a positive site like this. Why are you using good webspace advertising for the massholes?
I get that we are all behind alternative transportation and green living here, so why in the world would you spotlight the only group that is actively trying to discredit and destroy its credibility in the public mind? What’s next, ads for PETA?
Yer a tool; did you even watch the video?
Mass is supposedly to bring awareness of bicycles as an alternative or some such bullshit, but around here they just keep getting arrested for attacking motorists, taunting the cops, and breaking shit. Being stoned, drunk, and obnoxious about it too.
If it were really for positive public image building there wouldn’t be a tradition of bringing eggs to throw at cars, and businesses that are too ‘corporate’.
They are an embarrassment to real greens. **** ’em with a sharp stick.
@gang, calm down – we feature cool bikes all the time, this video is filled with them – it looks like everyone had a good time and there were not any problems. it’s a halloween bike parade, maybe chill a bit?
