A couple of days ago I decided that the light of my push-bike was not bright enough. After looking at the prices for better lights (i.e. at least 20 Watts halogen) in a catalog, I was convinced that building my own would be the way to go.

    Does anyone know if storing a gel cell at an angle like that will make it leak? Not something I’d want to deal with.

    Gel cells should work even upside down. We use one that has been laying on it’s side for 3 -4 years now. And it is on a cart that is moved from place to place in the shop.
