I know “because you can” but… if “a lot” of people are asking for this… why?

I’ll have to play devil’s advocate and wonder myself exactly who was asking “about how they would add LED’s to their NES pads”. But I’ve seen project posted here with much less DIY merit, so I think we can safely say “why not?”
