Huh, anyone play this? –
Kubb is a fun Swedish yard game for 2-12 players that is similar to horseshoes or bocce. It always attracts a crowd when we play the game on the beach, and I’ve yet to meet a player that doesn’t want a set of their own after a couple of rounds.

Yup, my girlfriend is half-Swedish. She has a set she brought back with her from a vacation in Sweden. We play it all the time during the summer. It’s like horseshoes with a sprinkling of strategy. I’ve even though about making an indoor version using those foam pool noodles.
My wife is Norwegian, and this is an awesome “park game”, “beach game”, or “yard game” if your yard is mostly flat. It’s a good game for small to medium sized groups, though six people is ideal.

I learned a few things. And I always wondered why the king looked like a mean tenderizer.
We play this a lot in our scouting group.
Its a lovely game, and best of all: you can play it with a drink in your other hand :-)
As a Swede who regularly reads this blog i can higly recommend kubb, as long as theres an outdoor party in Sweden – theres kubb. (hint: grab the most sober people for your team if you want to win)
