This looks very exciting. However, the description says that a sample of the manual is available. It doesn’t appear that it actually made it into the page though. Is there another place to find it?

Nowhere in the description it says that ATmega644 has a maximum operating frequency of 20MHz, while it is being run at “28+ MIPs”. It’s probably not too bad ir you do-it-yourself, but selling out-of-spec electronics as normal isn’t very nice thing to do.
The AVR644 can easily operate at this frequency, we did extensive testing and collaboration with Atmel. The chips can NOT be damaged from over clocking, there are no heat issues. All overclocking does to the AVR designs is tighten many of the timings so that some peripherals might not work and flash and SRAM will become corrupted, slow the chip down, things go back to normal.
However, at 28Mhz all of them do, over 1000 test units burnt in with random samples over multiple batches of chips and lots, we can say that 0.0% failed.
Moreover, the OSC is removable and you can clock the chip however you like.
