This Mobius chess puzzle might be fun to (physically) make –
This chess board is on a Mobius strip. The length is infinite (and wraps) but the width is only four squares. There are no pieces on the hidden sides. Some of the pieces are hard to read: the White Queen is on top, the White King is on the left, and the Black King and Queen are on the right. Don’t worry about the direction of the Black Pawn.
White to move and mate in two.

This is really cool… You know, I saw a chess set at the local GameDaze that had pieces with magnetic bottoms (but which didn’t look cheap like so many magnetic chess pieces do). Combine those with a flat piece of somewhat flexible steel from my back yard and I could probably make this at home.
Uh, there are no undersides to a Moebius strip…
