They admit that this is dangerous and will probably damage the motor — they are pushing four times the voltage than it was designed for.
The paint job is awesome — brushing on the highlights reminds me of a real-world version of how I used to paint 3D guns when I worked in the video game industry.
My favorite mod is the three-digit LED round counter. Hats off guys! Great job.

Hmmmmm……
When I was in Junior High my friends and I had motorized water guns and we did the same thing with them to increase the rate of fire. If you just stick to doubling the voltage you should be fine as far as component life.
