Huh, I’ve had a similar setup at my office too, but never thought of showing it to others, just seemed like a quick fix.
I keep the clip on a wire file system on my desk, then run the ethernet cable through the silver part, to prevent the cable from falling back behind the desk.
But…
Tim, I was also admiring your desk… is that an IKEA desk?
@cyenobite2 – Yes, I think it is. It actually came with my office space though, so I’m not certain. It’s “L” shaped.
We were so bothered by this occurence that we acually made a wire keeper/redirect. Sourced it all locally and gave them to clients for Christmas.
