It might be a nice addition to somehow diffuse the light by inserting into the jar a piece of paper (tracing paper, vellum, wax paper) formed into a cylinder.

and to be more “green”, the use of AA acculumators is way better than dirty coin cell.
Reusable == cheaper.
You could spray paint the inside with some frosted glass paint.
What is an AA Acculumator? I’m interested in using some greener stuff in a couple projects myself.
