Makers & Hackers, London and Sheffield on February 28, 2009

Tinker.it has the scoop on a free competition for hackers and makers, with the chance to win one of 4 prizes of £50:

Makers & Hackers is a making competition where teams of crafters and hackers are invited to come together either in London or Sheffield on February 28th to make a project around the theme: Household Items of the Future! .

You can also come in with an existing project, but beware, all projects have to both try to use electronics and traditional craft elements: wool, felt, paper, etc… we really encourage people to come in and meet people on the day and see what happens. If you’d like to hook up with others before the event we’ve set up an online community where you can post up your interest and skills and have a chat with others.
