How-To: Sew A Slipcover

I recently scored some awesome mid-century occasional chairs at a garage sale that will be perfect for our 1961 ranch home that we are currently renovating. At less than $50 for the pair, they were a steal, but they’ll eventually need to be reupholstered. Until I can afford to have a professional do the job, the idea of creating a nice custom slipcover is very appealing. I’ve always been a little daunted by the idea, but this in-depth tutorial from Rachelle of Adventures in Creating for Remodelaholic has me thinking I might be able to tackle it after all. It’s still a lot of work, but breaking it in to steps and taking my time would give us some very satisfying results. [via Re-Nest]
