Jaime Zollars is one of my favorite emerging artists on the scene right now. I love her classic yet playful style, and she just seems to get better and better. The slightly somber tone of the paintings on display in her current show (appropriately titled “Melancholia”) at Copro Nason gallery in Santa Monica is a wonder to behold. The show lasts until December 1, be sure to head over and check it out while you still can. Link.
