Seventeen-year-old Floridian Lucas Weakley has been an R/C aircraft enthusiast for the past eight years. Following his passion, he’s acquired a wealth of knowledge and has started designing and building his own planes. In true maker spirit, he also shares his knowledge on his biweekly YouTube show called BusyBee TV, which features reviews, how-tos, and all things R/C aircraft. Lucas recently made a 15-part video series for MAKE called Maker Hangar, in which he walks us through the step-by-step build of a robust plane named the Maker Trainer.
