I was an editor on the first 40 volumes of MAKE, and I love shining light on the incredible makers in our community. In particular, covering art is my passion — after all, art is the first thing most of us ever made. I love pinecones of all varieties and have them all over my cabin, but I had never seen tweed pinecones before peeping the ones made by Minnesota-based lilfishstudios. These gray and brown lovelies are made from felted reclaimed garment wool, and are hand-sewn. Their nature-inspired offerings don’t stop there.
