Reminder: Make:Hou, Houston’s new Make:City group, has their first meeting tonight at the Kendall Library & Community center. From their flier:
We Welcome Artists, Engineers, Musicians…People who MAKE!
See guest speaker Patrick Hood-Daniel, author of “Build Your Own CNC Machine (Technology in Action)” and creator of the hand made (no fancy power tools) CNC video tutorial.
Meet the fellow makers in our area, find out where to get those odd pieces you need, and learn how to do new things with your old stuff!
Grab the flier here, or send the organizers an email for more information.

How do you go about having a Make meeting in San Diego?
Seems like nobody’s making anything here but I know that’s not true! Help Make!
Miguel
Hi Miguel,
All it takes is some interested people to start one! The Make:City groups are enthusiast groups that are run by interested community members. It’s certainly not true, I am sure there are plenty of cool things being made in SD. If you’d like to know the details send me an email: mattm@makezine.com
