Are you ready to hear all about the design goodness that happened this last weekend at Alt Design Summit? This design conference, located in Salt Lake City, was the perfect weekend of design, craft, and blogging. Here are some of the highlights!

Design: Everywhere from the signs, sponsors, and speakers was an element of design. Even the menus for lunch were letterpressed. And I have to name drop a few of the lovelies that shared their knowledge of design: Swiss Miss, Design Sponge, Little Green Notebook, Design for Mankind, Snippet and Ink, DJ Spooky, and Seth Aaron and Mondo of Project Runway. Here’s me and Mondo!

Craft: The weekend was filled with all kinds of design and craft workshops to fill up your creative side. Calligraphy with Melissa of ISLY, sewing with Susan of Freshly Picked, design boards with Allison of Petit Elefant. Also included was a photoshop class, screenprinting class, and photography. I mean really, what more could you want?!
Blogging: Along with all the beauty of design and the skills of craft, there was a lot of talk about blogging. Growing your blog, collaboration, advertising, working with brands on campaigns, balancing social media and intersecting design and technology. Everything you need to up your game with your blog.

Parties: I can’t leave out the swanky parties. There were fancy restaurants, sponsor suites to hob nob with other conference attendees, and rides from Honda to head up to the Sundance Film Festival. Below was the party room full of balloons and black paper glasses from The Girls with Glasses Show. Darling decorations, cupcakes, and a photo booth.

Here’s me with the two sassy ladies from Modern Kiddo having some fun being silly at the parties.

Goodies: Everyone left with a tin lunch box full of goodies from the sponsors. I want to pack up a sandwich and drink to pack in that lunch box, it’s so cute!

These design bloggers really know how to leave an impression, take a look at these creative business cards. Some in cute envelopes, stamped, letterpress, trinkets, and calligraphy. We all left with many, many new blogs to read.
Thanks to Alt Design Summit for the lovely weekend of design, craft, and blogging! I hope to see you all there next year. Check out the Alt flickr page for more design goodness.
