Crafty gal Jamie Chan of Mary Jane’s Attic and SF/Austin’s Bazaar Bizarre is teaming up with her husband Blas Herrera on Urban Fauna Studio, a new fiber boutique and craft studio in San Francisco. The studio is the brick and mortar incarnation of her popular fiber web shop Mary Jane’s Attic and will sell Indie and green craft supplies and tools. The workshop offerings will focus on fiber arts such as spinning, knitting, felting and weaving with some paper craft supplies, instructional books, sewing projects and handmade gift items.
Come to Saturday’s opening for demos on needle felting, weaving on mini looms, spinning, and pom pom making. Issues of CRAFT magazines will be raffled off and free cupcakes and treats will be provided to those who stop by. The first 75 customers who purchase a $10 minimum will receive a goody bag filled with samples and treats!
