Northern Indiana may not seem like a popular vacation destination, but for hardcore 3D printing fans, there is no place they would rather be this weekend. This Saturday and Sunday, Goshen, Indiana will play host to the 4th annual Midwest RepRap Festival (known as MRRF — pronounced “merf” like Nerf with an “M”). MRRF invites anyone who is interested in RepRap and DIY 3D printing to come share their passion with others and get to hang out with some of the top names in the community.
MRRF is hosted by SeeMeCNC, but is sponsored and attended by numerous companies including Lulzbot, E3D, Proto-Pasta, and PrintedSolid. If you are looking to shop for your next printer, parts, or new filaments, the show floor at MRRF is a cornucopia.
One of the highlights of MRRF is the guest speakers who offer in-depth presentations for those who are interested in really getting to know their printers. With the team from E3D returning to present, and Josef Prusa coming back after a year’s absence from the event, this year is shaping up to have another group of excellent speakers.
If you have ever wanted a chance to meet some of Make:‘s 3D printer testing team, this is also a great opportunity to do so. Chris Yohe, Matt Griffin, Anderson Ta, Luise Rodriguez, Tom Burtonwood, John Abella, and myself will all be in attendance, and look forward to meeting Make: readers.
