Here’s to another great day for Open Hardware!
Outstanding work Ayah and team! I really like this logo, it shows how it’s related to open source software (OSI) – and it has gears :) Next up, licenses!

Looks almost like an M16 bolt with the extractor missing.
I find it ok to use an “open gear” as “open hardware” but the counter form inside it creates the shape of a lock. I think that overall it gives more of a “closed” (as in: only those with a key are allowed or as in “private”) than open.
That’s a good choice – it references the open source software logo and to me looks like a big, spikey ‘O’ for open. The keyhole just says ‘unlocked’ or unlockable to me =)
I’m so glad the last offerings were scrapped. This design is so far superior to the microchip and unlock symbol they had before.
Btw, almost over 9000?
Anyone else think this looks a little like a stargate?
Great logo! I am wondering which font is used.
