If you’re looking for a way to get involved with Maker Faire, but aren’t sure where to start, try volunteering. You can volunteer in several different areas, from setting up to helping out in the Maker Shed. If you’re itchin’ to get in on the crafty side of things, though, you might be most interested in volunteering as a Crafter Assistant or volunteering with the popular Swap-O-Rama-Rama. Check out the Maker Faire Web site volunteer section to see a full listing of areas where help is needed and to read the Volunteer Manual. An added bonus: when you volunteer for at least four hours or more, you earn a free day pass to Maker Faire. Volunteer even longer, and you can earn a full weekend pass. Check out the web site for more details, and to submit your volunteer questionnaire.
