It suggested that I could make such a piece of glass by cutting the glass into a circle with ordinary scissors. How? By doing the cutting in a sink filled with water. A quick search on google and sure enough, some interesting information on the subject. I thought Make: blog readers might find this interesting–even if it doesn’t work as well as advertised.” Link.

I remember this proceedure for cutting glass when i was about 10 years old. It never worked for me. Also, the cutting created all kinds of irritating sensations with my teeth.

Yes, I’ve run across that before. I was working in a movie theater and some colored filters had to be trimmed. They were like sheets of glass. With a little practice you can cut curves inside or outside. I can’t tell you how, it’s sort of a matter of thinking the right thoughts.
