I remember this proceedure for cutting glass when i was about 10 years old. It never worked for me. Also, the cutting created all kinds of irritating sensations with my teeth.

Yes, I’ve run across that before. I was working in a movie theater and some colored filters had to be trimmed. They were like sheets of glass. With a little practice you can cut curves inside or outside. I can’t tell you how, it’s sort of a matter of thinking the right thoughts.
