I made bowls out of records this christmas. It was pretty tricky, actually. I recommend boiling a lot of water, as much as you can, and heating the record, then forming it between two nesting bowls, facing upward, so the boiling water continues to heat them. I had glass pyrex bowls that worked pretty well for that.
