DX is fairly popular for entry level flashaholics. Their parts section is ok, but keep in mind its all chinese factory stuff, so if you’re looking for SureFire quality, you won’t find it. Their CREE dropins for $10 are good quality, and pretty shock resistant. Lenses and orings are fine.

They have a decent CREE light section, and for $20 if you dont like the light, you can always mod it. I have a handful of DX/UltraFire/TrustFire lights and they’re all decent enough.

Forgot to mention, check http://www.kaidomain.com for similar parts. A lot of the product offerings are the same, but there are some exclusives too.

I’ve placed many orders with DX and have never been disappointed. However, they use a Just-In-Time inventory system and it is sometimes up to the customer to ask for an update on parts that are taking a long time to ship – sometimes a refund is necessary when it’s obvious that the part will never come in. The shipping is free by airmail though, which is pretty nice.

Google Roar of the Pelican. It is the definitive hotwire (incandescent) mod that uses a Pelican light bulb. The lights.lightrefineries.org blog has some good sources of parts.

I have ordered many from DX. Always worked fine. Quality of items varies, but DX is working very fine.
