Here’s a clever idea, flip an image (driving map) vertically on your computer before you print it out and then place it on the dash, it will reflect back the opposite way and you can use that for getting to your location – Link.

Andy Ihnatko did something like this for a MacWorld speech to show off the fun of Automator. The difference is that his version inverts the image to white on black, so the stuff you want to see shows up on the window, and the background does not.

Hi, there’re many ways to follow a driving map. In Japan, we always see a map with north head, so we turn a map every time when I turn a corner. Always, north must be at the top. In the US, when I rent a car, I’m always very confused, because the direction ahead is always at the top. I wish there could be a map which always turn for north head…Can you make it?

    What a great idea!

This is one of those rare head-smacking “Why didn’t I think of that” revelations. And so easy & cheap.

    Well done!

An addition to this would be to print on a transparent film, Commonly available to inkjet, laser, wax printers.
