Using a Coolidge tube, an arduino, and some high voltage know how, aspiring radiologist and maker Grenadier built a portable X-Ray machine with nixie tube display and light up dials. As with most projects this cool, it’s probably a good idea to investigate all safety precautions prior to attempting to recreate it, right? [via Technabob]

Excellent work! I was wondering, what are you using for your scintillator? It looks pretty good. Is it just NaI painted material? I would really like to know, thank you.
