
W. writes – A Rubens Tube uses fire to visually demonstrate the compression effects of soundwaves. Think Winamp’s little oscilloscope, but on fire.
The construction of these tubes were documented by two people independently, and submitted simultaneously for Instructable.com’s Science Fair.

wow, yesterday i was looking some tesla videos on youtube, and i saw some Rubens tube videos, i immediately ordered some tube and now there is two instructables posted on a same day… Rubens tubes are hot right now. really hot. will this be the next Atari Punk Console? Easy to do and really cool thing.
Oh do I have some ideas for this one. :) If anything extraordinary comes of it, I will let you all know.
